Merino on the Drop Spindle

Getting around to spinning this Merino 18.5 mic. which I purchased from Wingham Wool Work.

I think it is about 150 grams

First little hank: 26 grams, 66 yarns, grist 1173 yards/lb

Hank 2 now in progress, waiting to be plied and finished.:

It will probably get dyed when it's all done - whenever that may be!

Beautiful yarn!
Is that cross something like nidy nody? I never seen something like this before. It seems very interesting.

Thank you Vladka.

It's and Andean plying tool for making a bracelet to ply the single from the wrist. I find it easier than wrapping the single around my wrist to make a "bracelet" to ply with.

I see! Sometimes I do it with my fingers. It works good only with a little tread. So I often wind my handspun to the ball and than plyed treads from the center and circumference of a ball. This tool looks like very useful.
Thank you for this post and your answer :-)
Have a nice day!
